Supply SEN Teaching Assistant Job – Kilburn

We require SEN Teaching Assistants for a primary school based in Kilburn. This school provides a nurturing, safe, and positive learning environment, where diversity is celebrated. The primary education team in London have a total of 30 years’ experience with some in the team with teaching experience. We understand what it is like in the classroom and will support you all the way through with up-to-date training and a dedicated consultant who will cater to your needs and call you weekly to see how your week has gone.

About your role as a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant
We are currently recruiting teaching assistants and learning support assistants with a speciality in SEN. The ideal candidate will be someone who has an interest in working with children with additional needs and would like to progress specialty their career in education. This person would also benefit from having some experience either working in a child-centred setting or a care environment. You will be working closely with the class teacher and the SENDCO to ensure that the child you are working with is effectively supported, and their targets are met.

Your other duties will include:
**Recording and reporting a pupil’s progress to the teacher.
**Establish a warm, caring, and supportive relationship with pupils to support them in feeling safe and enable them to enjoy and learn during their time at school.
**Demonstrate a proven ability to work collaboratively within a multi-professional team.
**Contribute to providing high quality, challenging, and differentiated educational activities and experiences through supporting the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum aiming at pupils achieving their full potential in all areas of learning.
**Support the Class Teacher in all areas of the day to day running of the class.

What you will need to succeed
** Experience working within a classroom setting
** Good behaviour management and organisational skills
** SEN experience
** You must hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a DBS through Hays
