Your new company:
Take part in a team of specialist social care lawyers within a centrally-located and well-known local authority and provide aid with matters relating to social care.

Your new role:
As a Childcare Lawyer, you will conduct a wide variety of legal work relevant to childcare matters, including handling your own caseload and occasionally handling the advocacy in court should no member of the council be available. Collaborating with the team on general legal childcare matters is also a great part of the role. The initial duration of the assignment is 3 months, with a high likelihood of extension, starting in June.

What you'll need to succeed:
  • Qualified as a lawyer
  • Working experience in childcare matters mentioned above
  • Previous experience of local authorities work (highly desirable)
  • Knowledge of English law, local government law, equalities law, and data protection (desirable)

A DBS check, political restriction, and the right to work in the UK are needed for this role.

What you'll get in return:

  • Rewarding line of work and contribution to public wellbeing
  • Hourly pay rate circa £50/hr
  • Hybrid working (remote, office attendance needed once per quarter)
  • Personal development opportunities
