Are you a qualified SEN Teacher looking for a new challenge in a primary school in Tower Hamlets? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are looking for an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team as soon as possible. You will be working with a small group of pupils with special educational needs, such as autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and emotional and behavioural difficulties. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs and abilities of your pupils. You will also work closely with other staff members, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for your pupils.

Your responsibilities as a SEN Teacher:

  • Creating tailored learning programs to address the unique needs of each student
  • Planning and preparing lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Regularly assessing student progress is crucial
  • Collaborating with other professionals, such as educational psychologists, speech therapists, and social workers
  • Supporting students socially and emotionally, beyond academics
  • Advocating for students’ needs and communicating with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
  • Experience of teaching SEN pupils in a primary school setting
  • A good understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and the National Curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive and flexible attitude
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
