Design Technology Teacher – Resistant Materials and Food Specialism role in Southwark, South East London
Contract : temporary with permanent potential
Start : full time ASAP
Rate: £190 - £240 per day depending on experience.
Your new company
Secondary School based in Southwark, South East London is looking for a strong Design Technology Teacher who can deliver lessons to KS3/ KS4/ KS5. You will have the opportunity to work with a highly reputable school and join their well-organised Design Technology Department. This position is to start as soon as possible and last until the end of the academic year.
Your new role
Starting after half-term, you will be responsible for teaching Design Technology in Resistant Materials and Graphic Design Specialism across KS3/ KS4/ KS5. As this is a long-term assignment, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, as well as completing the subsequent marking and assessment of pupils’ work, ensuring all pupils are progressing well within the classroom.
This role will also require you to ensure all behaviour is appropriate, and that pupils are achieving to the best of their ability. As this is a long-term position, you will also be required to attend parents’ evenings and other school functions.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess Qualified Teacher Status and have experience of teaching Design and Technology across KS3/ KS4/ KS5. School would consider NQT/ ECT for this position. You must be available to start asap and ideally be able to work through to July 2023, with a real passion and drive to provide a high quality of teaching and therefore contribute to the overall success of the department.
