School HR Officer

Location: Camden, London

Salary: £15 - £18 per hour

Are you an experienced HR professional with a passion for education? We are seeking a dedicated and proactive HR Officer to join our team. As an integral part of our school community, you will play a crucial role in supporting our staff and ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide a full administrative service for the school, acting as the first point of contact for staff inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate records related to recruitment, contracts, absence management, and performance reviews.
  • Assist in the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate recruitment processes, including advertising vacancies, shortlisting, and arranging interviews.
  • Support the induction of new staff members.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to address employee relations matters.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in an HR role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using HR software and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work sensitively with young people and maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and best practices.
