Agile Release Delivery Manager - Release Train Engineer, Insurance
Up to £600 per day (Inside IR35)
London / Hybrid (1 day per week in office) – Must be UK Based

My client is a high profile Insurer who urgently require an Agile Release Delivery Manager with Release Train Engineering experience to join a critical Insurance Programme ASAP.
In this role you will be responsible for managing and continually improving Release flow of value and quality, building visual co-ordination view of releases, chairing Scrum of Scrums, managing dependencies, resolving Release blockers, liaising with key stakeholders and providing key metrics to assist with continuous improvement.

Key Requirements:

• Proven expertise in Release Delivery Management in a large, complex organisation (preferably Insurance)
• Release Train Engineering experience
• Agile expertise, with a mixture of methods including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Scrum of Scrums etc
• Ability to demonstrate an impact on performance and decrease time to market for Releases
• Experience of managing the funnel and changes through Release pipeline
• Demonstrable experience of oversight and management of multiple technical Releases
• Ability to provide post-Release management too
• Good understanding of the end-to-end Software Delivery Lifecycle
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps processes
• Capability to resolve Release blockers
• Focus on continuous improvement
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Diplomatic conflict resolution style
• Able to hold yourself accountable, be self-driven and demonstrate clear passion, positive energy and enthusiasm
  
  Nice to have:
• Insurance industry expertise (Motor Insurance knowledge would be ideal)
• Shift left experience
• BDD / TDD awareness
• Experience with Jira / Planview
• Experience with Dora metrics or flow metrics
