Marine Broker Back up Technician – up to £50,000 – City – Lloyd’s Broker

Your new Lloyd’s broker is an international Insurance and Reinsurance Lloyd’s broker who handles both Marine and Non-businesses servicing their longstanding loyal clients. Their focus is continually on the future of risk management, providing a personal service, expert advice, and innovative solutions to modern exposures. Due to rapid growth within the Marine technical division, a permanent job for a Marine Hull and Liability Broker back up Technician has arisen.

Your new role

Your new job working as a Marine Hull and Liability Broker back up Technician means you will be responsible for providing a high quality support service to clients, markets and the broking team. Your duties will include updating systems with data relating to new business enquiries, quotes, firm orders, and renewals (i.e. IBS and PPL). You will be pr oducing all appropriate documentation, including but not limited to Market Reform Contracts, endorsements, cover notes and evidence of cover, as well as processing invoices and market closings via Xchanging via the appropriate systems. You will also assist with the production and maintenance of Open Market and Line Slip MRCs and MRCEs in accordance with the latest London Market Group regulatory requirements. Other duties will include liaising with clients and markets via email and telephone and assisting the Account Executives with client account management, particularly for renewals.

What you'll need to succeed

Your previous experience working as a Marine Broker back up Technician fulfilling the front and back end technical duties, will lead to your success in securing this role. Ideally, you will be CERT CII qualified or working towards. You will be confident in reviewing and amending slips and be able to produce all technical documentation to include MRC slips, endorsements, presentations, credit and debit notes. Your friendly and confident nature will allow you to adapt well to a diverse team, whilst building and maintaining strong client relationships.
