Your new role

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller you will have responsibility for the following;

• Maintaining accurate accounting records, including preparation and posting of journals, preparation of accurate monthly management accounts
• and assistance in provision of variance analysis to senior management.You will also have management responsibility of Credit Control and accounts payable department with 3 direct reporting staff.
• Reconciliation of Balance Sheet items and work closely with (sales, despatch, production, etc) to ensure accurate and timely control of the financial impact of transactions impacting stock, rebates, complaints, etc
• Ensuring that internal procedures and controls are consistently applied and help develop improved systems in a rapidly changing business environment
• Preparation of VAT (both UK & ROI) returns
• Assisting in the generation of information for annual budgeting process
• Assisting with external auditors
• Any other duties and tasks commensurate with the role and/or as required by the FC within your abilities.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified for any of the following accountancy qualifications: ACA, ACCA, CIMA
• At least 3 years experience within a commercial accounts environment. Fully conversant with Financial and Management Accounting principles and techniques.
• Qualified for any of the following accountancy qualifications is desired however this role is also available to candidates with significant relevant experience OR Part Qualified.
• Experience in manufacturing industry Experience of MS Dynamics AX, Power BI A high degree of proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint.
