This company is part of a global group of communication agencies, with expertise in advertising, digital, direct and experiential, creating everything from large scale global to niche social media campaigns. The agency works on many high-profile advertising campaigns for some of the world's most recognised brands.

Your new role

This role will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to further develop their legal skill set in an industry-leading advertising business in both the creative and production spaces. You will assist the Legal team in supporting two divisions of the business, including the creative advertising and the content production team. The role will collaborate with the Senior Legal Counsel and General Counsel as well as other stakeholders in the business while also requiring the ideal candidate to be a confident self-starter who is able to work both autonomously.

What you'll be doing

  • Reviewing and advising on the compliance of scripts/storyboards aligned with CAP and BCAP Codes and identifying third party intellectual property considerations.

  • Drafting and negotiating basic client and supplier template agreements including but not limited to NDAs, releases, talent agreements and IP licences.

  • Assisting clients with the management of ASA complaints including advising on media planning and pulling of ad / changes to be made to edits.

  • Assisting on audit or client contract requests to check key terms, for example non-compete restrictions or payment terms for finance.

  • Liaising with external counsel on a variety of matters including instructing them on trademark searches.

  • Managing invoices for external legal spend with the Finance team.

What you'll get in return
