Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Belfast - Days - Salary: £38000 - £45000 (DoE)

Your New Role

Whilst working as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer you will work alongside the maintenance team in a hands-on role reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure lines run efficiently by carrying out preventative, planned and reactive maintenance of five production lines and associated equipment across the site. You will be expected to be able to competently run the production lines and cover operators as and when required to meet production needs.

Whilst on shift your key duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Maintenance & Continuous Running • Carrying out planned & reactive maintenance as required by the Maintenance Supervisor across 5 production Lines & Equipment • Maintaining records for all maintenance work • Mechanical (70%) and Electrical (30%) work • Work well within a small team of engineers • Maintain production records and quality checks when running production lines • Assist operators in daily running and set up of machines.

What You'll Need To Succeed

In order to be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications:

Essential
Minimum 5 years’ experience working as an Engineer in a high-speed manufacturing environment • Good problem-solving skills & root cause analysis • NVQ Level 3 or Time served Electrical & Mechanical Engineer • Knowledge of Pneumatics, Automation, Conveyors, PLCs, Controllers • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings • 17th or 18th Wiring Edition • Strong communications skills • Self-managing with good organisational skills • Can demonstrate ability to lead change programs.

Desirable
Welding / Plumbing Experience • Experience of Robotics & Automation • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment working to BRC standards • Fork truck licence • Knowledge of 5S3R • Knowledge of facilities maintenance • Confined space training.

What You'll Get In Return

A strong salary of up to £45000 (DoE, salary range is £38000 - £45000) for working a highly attractive days only pattern across Monday - Thursday 07:00 - 16:00 with early finish on a Friday 07:00 - 13:45. There will be occasional weekend work required on a rota basis. Your benefits package is inclusive of Death in service benefit, Pension matched up to 5%, Performance Related bonus and 20 personal holidays.
