Long term opportunity for a Void Surveyor to join a registered landlord in Southwest England!
Your new company
Do you have experience working within the social housing sector either within day to day maintenance or voids? - If so, this could be your opportunity to work in an area of natural beauty, ensuring that homes are readily available for deserving tenants. You will work for a registered provider of social housing who are responsible for the management and maintenance of over 5,000 residential dwellings across the region - an award winning employer who have recently developed a new look property and assets team, this is an exciting time to join.
Your new role
You will join a small empty homes team who are responsible for ensuring homes are fit for purpose and ready for new tenants to move in. As a Void Surveyor, you will undertake a technical role which will include the following:
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this position, you will need to have prior experience working as a surveyor, either within repairs and maintenance or voids in social housing. Ideally, you'll have a relevant qualification, which could be either a HNC or HND, or a degree in building surveying.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive a long-term contract position with the intention of progressing into a permanent role carrying a salary of £45,000 per year. - Inspecting homes which have recently become void, and creating a specification for works required.
- Inspecting works which are being undertaken by a framework contractor, to ensure high quality.
- Undertaking post-work inspections to sign-off completed works, flagging any issues and ensuring that the required quality and standards have been met.
- Overseeing health & safety and CDM guidelines are followed throughout the construction refurbishment process.
