Responsibilities:
- Support general tasks such as software development, database maintenance, and report generation.
- Work with the group commercialisation program by designing assays for the company’s diagnostic platform.
- Collaborate with the Assay Team to deliver the molecular diagnostic product pipeline.
- Identify appropriate reference sources for sequences (e.g., GISAID and NCBI databases).
- Be familiar with NextGen sequencing and associated pipelines.
- Use Python and Jupyter Lab for working and application development.
- Generate, manipulate, analyse, and present complex data.
- Assist in report writing and SOP generation.
- Interrogate sequence data to design new diagnostic assays.
- Collaborate on projects with external partners.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject (e.g., bioinformatics, computer science, or statistics).
- Relevant experience in bioinformatics.
- Familiarity with sequencing data and standard bioinformatics tools.
