Your new company

You will be working with a Midlands-based transport company who specialise in private coach and minibus hire. They are looking for an experienced Transport Manager to run and develop the operation.

Your new role

In this role you will be responsible for scheduling the driver and vehicle duties, producing daily work tickets and work alongside the engineering and sales departments for duty planning, while liaising with the local authority for any road closure/ diversion notifications and communicate this to the team. You will also assist in driver recruitment and manage licence checks, CPC renewals and DBS applications. You will be required to oversee the logistics tachograph management system, ensuring all reports are reviewed with drivers individually and mutually signed off.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will need to be an Accredited Managers International CPC holder - Please do not apply without this qualification. You will need excellent knowledge of driver’s hours, EU and working time regulations as well as awareness of Transport and Health and Safety legislation. You must have great geographical knowledge and have an understanding of Microsoft applications.

What you'll get in return

You will receive a permanent contract alongside an annual salary of up to £50,000 DOE. As well as a company pension, employee discount and free or subsidised travel. The working hours are Monday – Friday 08:00- 17:00.
