Scientific Officer | Manchester | £25K

About the Role:
As a Scientific Lab Officer, you will play a crucial role in our research team. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct in vivo experiments and support scientific studies. You’ll work closely with other researchers, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and maintaining high standards of animal welfare.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform in vivo experiments, including dosing, sample collection, and data recording.
  • Maintain accurate records and document experimental procedures.
  • Collaborate with other team members to analyse data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and ethical guidelines.
  • Contribute to the development of new research methodologies.
  • Assist in the preparation of research reports and presentations.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Hold a Home Office Personal Licence.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology).
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably with in vivo testing.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and guidelines for animal research.

  • Proficiency in experimental techniques related to in vivo testing.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
