Manufacturing Engineer, Early Friday Finish

Your new company

You will be joining a well established company within the crushing and screening sector. They are a front-runner in sustainable technologies, minerals processing and metals refining systems. They are in a period of growth and with this, are seeking to bolster out their teams with new engineers, this Manufacturing Engineer being one of the roles in question.

Your new role

As a Manufacturing Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to support efficient production processes within our factory. You’ll play a crucial role in developing and improving existing processes, best practices, procedures, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Ensuring work meets our internal quality and health & safety standards will be a key focus.

What you'll need to succeed

You should have a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, including major sub-component production and final assembly of machines. Problem-Solving Skills: Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to identify and implement effective containment and root cause fixes for manufacturing issues. Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices on the shop floor to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency. Create and review BOMs, promptly highlighting any discrepancies to the BOM team. Contribute to new product launches, conduct design-for-manufacture reviews, and establish efficient processes. Develop and review lean manufacturing practices as needed for your assigned site. Support the integration of engineering change orders (ECO) and engineering change notices (ECN) into our business processes. Coordinate and lead time studies and production layouts in collaboration with production teams.

What you'll get in return

You will receive a highly competitive salary of £35,000 to £40,000 depending on experience, the ability to work flexible working hours alongside an early Friday finish, there is a bonus opportunity, enhanced pension contributions, access to private healthcare alongside 32 days annual leave.
