Art Teacher | Temp | Part-time | MPS / UPS | April 2024

A vibrant and inclusive Ofsted rated ‘Good’ secondary school is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Art Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis on Mondays and Thursdays. The successful candidate will teach Art to students up to GCSE level, ensuring engaging and inspiring lessons that ignite creativity and encourage artistic expression. This school prides themselves on providing a supportive environment where students can explore their passions and develop their skills.

Based in Sussex for over 20 years, HAYS education offers high-quality supply teaching service, helping Schools with day-to-day cover as well as more long-term vacancies. We are dedicated in finding you teaching work to suit your needs and availability whether you are a MFL teacher wanting the flexibility of short-term work or the security of a long-term role.

Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver high-quality Art lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
• Mark student work promptly and provide timely feedback.

Requirements:
• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Art at secondary level (Up to GCSE).
• Passion for fostering creativity and nurturing artistic talent.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate students.
• Commitment to student well-being and academic success.
