Regional Counsel EMEA Role Function and Group: Law Department

Milton Hill HQ, near Oxford, UK (full-time/hybrid/with remote working flexibility)

Position Summary:
As a senior legal professional based in the UK, you'll play a pivotal role in our Law Department, reporting to the Regional Head Counsel EMEA. You'll primarily support the commercial legal function covering EMEA, providing expert advice and proactive support to entities across the UK, Germany, Italy, and France.

What You'll Be Doing:
Offer professional advice and support on a wide range of international commercial and strategic legal issues. Collaborate with legal counsel in the Americas and APAC regions when required, as an integrated member of the global general law team. Provide cross-functional legal support ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Prepare, review, draft and negotiate contracts and other relevant documents, including standards, templates, and policies. Work with external lawyers when necessary.

A Successful Candidate Is Likely To Have:
Qualification as an English or German solicitor, barrister, or equivalent, with the right to work in the UK and a current UK practising certificate. Fluency in English and German (French or Italian is a bonus). Proven experience as a legal counsel in a business environment, preferably with a combination of in-house and private practice experience. Ability to thrive in a culturally diverse global business environment. Excellent communication, presentation, drafting, and negotiation skills. Strong analytical abilities, judgement, and attention to detail. Self-driven, motivated, assertive, persistent, and pragmatic. Well-versed in how businesses operate with financial acumen.
