Art & Photography Subject Lead | Perm | Full-time | MPS / UPS | September 2024

A vibrant and inclusive Ofsted rated ‘Good’ secondary school in the outskirts of Brighton is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Art & photography subject lead to join their team and further develop the school’s art and photography curriculum. The successful candidate will teach students up to KS4, ensuring engaging and inspiring lessons that ignite creativity and encourage artistic expression.

Based in Sussex for over 20 years, HAYS education offers high-quality supply teaching service, helping Schools with day-to-day cover as well as more long-term vacancies. We are dedicated in finding you teaching work to suit your needs and availability whether you are a MFL teacher wanting the flexibility of short-term work or the security of a long-term role.

Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver high-quality art and photography lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
• Mark student work promptly and provide timely feedback.

Requirements:
• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching art & photography.
• Passion for fostering creativity.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate students.
• Commitment to student well-being and academic success.
