Your new company
Part of a large group of companies with an ambitious strategic improvement plan – and this role is a pivotal part of this plan.

Your new role

Reporting to the newly appointed HR Director who has an ambitious improvement plan for the HR/People, Talent Acquisition and Talent Development/L&D functions.

You will oversee the Talent Acquisition Team – with a Team Leader reporting to you – assisting that individual with Talent Acquisition strategies that compliment and fit into the Talent Development agenda.

You will have full responsibility for the Talent Development function and team - actively engaging in the initiatives, delivering programs that identify, nurture, and develop top talent within the business; playing a crucial role in contributing to ensuring a robust pipeline of skilled professionals.

Using your extensive experience of project management to deliver of a range of learning & development solutions (with consideration to the most appropriate learning solution and intervention, which meets the commercial need of the business, whilst taking into consideration different learning styles and approaches).

You will be able to demonstrate a forward-thinking approach, keeping up to date and ahead of the curve on workplace trends, technology and initiatives to develop the people of the business e.g blended learning, digital learning. Creating dynamic and engaging pictorial material for a totally unique and simplified learning programme with result in mind.

You will also use a Data focused approach to review and drive the talent development and acquisition teams to deliver its arms of the people strategy in the movement of the role.

Keeping ahead on strict adherence to governance by updating procedures, policies, internal SOPs, internal auditing of departments and keep abreast regarding emerging legislation, regulations, and requirements to ensure ongoing compliance.
You will also collaborate with Workforce Management and the Head of HR to develop strategic Workforce Planning activities that focus on a future looking talent model.

This is a fantastic opportunity for either a current L&D/TA Manager who wants a new challenge in a role they can really influence and be creative in – or an experienced L&D Professional with some management skills to take the step in their career into true management - to join a fantastic business and team to truly deliver L&D strategies and programmes – whilst overseeing the Talent Acquisition Team - to make a difference.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will be an experienced L&D Advisor - with experience in fast paced changing environments. Have experience of innovative and creative L&D methods – from classroom, online and virtual offering.
Full Talent Development / L&D activities – from research, review, idea formulation, planning, roll out and delivery. Experience of developing, managing and delivering Management Development programmes.

What you'll get in return
A competitive salary - based on experience and qualifications More than statutory holiday - 25 a year plus BHs
37.5 hours a week – with some flexibility - as occasionally you will need to work varied hours (the site is open 08.00 – 20.00 – Monday to Friday)
Option (where business needs allow) to WFH 1 day a week – after 12 months with the developing of the strategy and team – this can be reviewed/flexed.
