A Part-Time (25–30 hours) IT Support Technician job in Crawley with hybrid working for £35-38K pro rata

Your new role

The Tech team are looking for an experienced IT Support Technician to work on a part-time (25 to 30 hours per week) basis across 5 days with hybrid remote working to serve as the first point of contact for IT support, company-wide.

Typical day-to-day duties will include:

• Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware components of computer and network systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues
• Repair and replace damaged computer and network components
• Ensure the security of client and server computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software
• Support employees and customers with IT-related problems
• Maintain and update technical documentation regularly
• Test new hardware and software before full-scale installation
• Assist with the prompt resolution of support service tickets
• Create and maintain user accounts in Microsoft 365/Active Directory
• Review and manage email security systems

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will hold a degree or equivalent in Computer Science, engineering, or another relevant field.
• Certifications i.e. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional
• Proven experience as an IT Technician
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
• Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
• Strong understanding of computer network infrastructure
• Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices
• Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols

What you'll get in return

The role is required for 25–30 hours per week across 5 days at a salary of pro rata of between £35K and £38K. The role is available for hybrid working and occasional office visits for hardware issues, along with on-call availability for emergencies.

Holiday: 23 days per annum plus bank holidays (The Company closes between Christmas and New Year, and you will be required to take holiday from your annual allowance during this period. You will be notified each year of the dates of the annual closure)
