HR Advisor

Hays HR are currently recruiting for a permanent HR Advisor to work for a professional services business in Leeds.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor who would like to work in a varied role delivering a full range of HR advice to clients of the firm.

This role will work closely with an Employment Law Partner supporting external clients of the business. You will maintain key relationships with all internal stakeholders and all clients. Provide advice and guidance to clients across the full spectrum of ER issues, particularly disciplinaries, grievance, capability/performance management, redundancy, settlement agreements, TUPE and sickness absence.

Other duties will include:
  • Provide advice in line with client-specific service level agreements and policies. This includes reviewing and tailoring supporting documents where appropriate
  • Support and coach clients’, helping them to resolve ER issues within their teams by providing pragmatic, commercial, legally compliant HR advice and guidance
  • To ensure that personal knowledge of HR and Employment Law is continually updated
  • To actively own and lead cases to resolution, building rapport and relationships with clients on each interaction
  • To log all advice accurately onto the bespoke internal system, taking ownership and responsibility for ongoing cases
  • To carry out other tasks that are deemed necessary by the Employment Law Partner

What you'll need to succeed:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or similar qualification (desired)
  • Experience as an HR Advisor (essential)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (essential)
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
