Job Brief: Data Analyst
Salary: Starting Circa 40k
Tenure: Permanent Position
Work Pattern: Hybrid (Utilise office in Warrington or St Asaph)

I am seeking a skilled and motivated Data Analyst. As a mid-level professional, you will play a crucial role in extracting valuable insights from my client’s current data warehouses, enhancing decision-making processes, providing the Chief Executive with enhanced Data Reports utilising data visualisation tools, improving the current reporting systems and providing solutions for replacements where needed.

Responsibilities:
In the realm of data analysis and modelling, one’s responsibilities include utilising SQL for the extraction, transformation, and analysis of data from diverse sources. This also encompasses the creation of data models and the execution of statistical analyses to unearth trends, patterns, and anomalies.

Expertise in Excel is demonstrated through proficiency with advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data visualisation techniques.

This expertise is further applied in collaboration with stakeholders to develop and maintain intricate spreadsheets that serve as tools for reporting and analysis.

The field of data visualisation involves leveraging tools like Power BI to craft visually arresting dashboards and reports. This skill is crucial in translating intricate data sets into clear, actionable insights that can be utilised by business users.

Enhancing legacy reports is another critical area. Candidates with experience of replacing or improving legacy reports are highly sought after. The role involves assessing current reporting processes, pinpointing inefficiencies, and suggesting improvements to optimise performance.

Experience / Skills requirement:
A proven experience with financial or project reporting within the UK market
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data.
  • Expertise in Excel, including advanced functions and data visualisation.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or similar data visualisation tools (Tableau, QlikView, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
