Your new role

As a Working Foreman, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating on-site construction activities. You will be responsible for managing and leading a team of tradespeople, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and on schedule. This role requires a strong trade background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, subcontractors, and clients. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of tradespeople, ensuring work is carried out efficiently and to the required specifications.
  • Coordinate and supervise on-site activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to project managers.
  • Allocate resources and manage the scheduling of tasks to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality and adherence to project plans.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting a positive and productive working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, progress reports, and site diaries.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and clients, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of construction processes and practices.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in construction management.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience as a Working Foreman in the construction industry is essential.
  • Strong trade background is required.
  • CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card is necessary.
  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and their application on construction sites.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and drawings.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Full UK driving licence.
