Your new role
12-Month Biotransformation position will join the Biotransformation & Enzymology Group with early-stage identification through pre- & post-clinical evaluation. This will involve supporting metabolite profiling activities to generate understanding of the metabolic fate of new chemical entities (NCE) and providing input into the medicinal chemistry design iterations. This is a laboratory-based role profiling the biotransformation pathways using LC- High Resolution Mass Spectrometry.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum B.Sc. with considerable experience (3+ years in Drug Discovery), or a PhD/ Post-doctoral scientist in chemistry or biochemistry.
- High resolution mass spectrometry and chromatography experience (HPLC, uHPLC, LC-HRMS) of small molecules.
- An understanding of new chemical entity biotransformation pathways.
- Experience with general in vitro lab skills.
- Desirable: Understanding of HRMS and MS fragmentation pathways for structural elucidation. Familiarity with Sciex and/ or Thermo LCMS software.
