Commercial Account Manager, City, Salary up to £80,000 working for a Wholesale Lloyd’s Broker

Your new role working as a Commercial Account Manager will be within an established Wholesale Lloyd’s Broker who specialise in the placement of commercial business into the London market on behalf of UK and European intermediaries. Located in the heart of the City, the business is fast-growing as well as fast-paced with a young and vibrant team. Your new Brokers ensures that they attract the most talented professionals to work with them and create an environment where all employees have a stake in their success. Due to the growth within their Wholesale Commercial team, a new position for a Commercial Account Manager has arisen.


Your new role

Your new role will working as a Commercial Account Manager and will work within a team compromising of Account Executives, Senior Account Handlers, Account Brokers, Account Handlers and Trainee Account Handlers. Within your new role you would be expected to handle a certain number of renewals every month, consisting or UK Property and Liability risks, as well as oversee and Team Lead. This role will also assist the Associate Director with any project work or with any additional work that may arise and support the Account Executives in maintaining positive Client relationships as well as support the Associate Director in the development and training needs of Account handlers/Trainees. Prepare MRC and supporting documentation , oversee and approve client documentation and negotiate and liaise with Underwriters in placing risks as required. You will also be responsible for liaising with Agents and Sub Agents daily.


What you'll need to succeed

Your previous experience working as a Senior Commercial Account Handler or Commercial Account Executive ideally with London market experience handling property and Casualty business property, will contribute to your success in securing this role. Experience of team leading would be beneficial. You will have a good understanding of P&C business and all the London market processes or have a willingness to learn fast. Ideally, you will be Cert CII qualified or progression towards. You will be confident obtaining information from clients and Underwriters via telephone & e-mail and will have the ability to build good relationships with both Clients and Underwriters/Insurers. You will have communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as good organisational ability. It is essential that you have experience working within a London market Brokers, ideally within Wholesale or in Retail, but would cross train into Wholesale, and knowledge of preparing MRC slips and broker policies would be advantageous.
