Hays are delighted to partner with this regulator based in Birmingham City Centre, who are looking for a Forensic Accounting Director to join their team on a permanent basis.


Your new role

This is a Deputy Director level role, where your main purpose will be to provide support and expertise in the management and supervision of forensic investigative casework and strategy by:

  • Deputising for and assisting the Director of Forensic Accounting
  • Providing oversight and expertise in large, high profile and complex investigations
  • Ensuring that all investigations result in the right forensic outcome within a reasonable timeframe
  • Contributing to the strategic direction of the casework and effective implementation of that strategy
  • Leading and managing the largest, most sensitive, high profile and complex forensic investigations
  • People development/management

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this position you will:

  • Be a Qualified Accountant with extensive Forensic Accounting and investigation experience
  • Have extensive expertise in leading, planning and managing financial investigations involving high volumes of material and complex financial issues.
  • Have experience in planning and conducting technical interviews of senior individuals.
  • Have extensive experience communicating the results of complex financial investigations to both finance and non-finance professionals
  • Have the ability to pursue complex and difficult cases and to make robust decisions.
  • Have significant experience in staff supervision, coaching and development on technical matters and forensic skills.
