Salary: £81- £95 per day

We require Primary Teaching Assistants for primary schools in the areas around Islington We work with a large number of schools and therefore can offer you regular work. By working as a Primary Teaching Assistant, you have the flexibility on the days you wish to work whether that is full time or part time. You can also choose if you would like to receive morning calls or to be pre-booked in advance.

The primary education team in London have a total of 30 years’ experience with some in the team with teaching experience. We understand what it is like in the classroom and will support you all the way through with up-to-date training and a dedicated consultant who will cater to your needs and call you weekly to see how your week has gone.

About your role as a Primary Supply Teaching Assistant

As a Primary Teaching Assistant you will have strengths within primary education. You will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the pupils, whether it be in a group, SEN or 1:1 setting as well as supporting the class teacher. Your other duties will include:
• To build and maintain successful relationships with pupils, treat them consistently, with respect and consideration.
• To help promote independent learning.
• To help reinforce learning.
• To help students record work in an appropriate way.
• To develop study and organisational skills.
• To help keep the students on task and to build motivation.
• To model good practice.
• To help build the students confidence and enhance self-esteem.

What you will need to succeed

** Experience working within a Primary classroom
** Good behaviour management and organisational skills
** SEN experience
** You need to be flexible and willing to travel around the Islington area
** You must hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a DBS through Hays
