Your new company

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a highly rated Ofsted rated "Good" primary school situated in Warrington on a long-term basis. An amazing single form entry school are looking for a teaching assistant to join their team. For the right candidate this role has potential to become permanent at the end of the academic year. The schools main aim is “for each child to feel happy, safe and respected in order for them to become resilient, confident, independent learners who can realise their personal potential”

Your new role

You will be expected to support the class teacher in creating a positive and safe environment for EYFS children to learn in. This may entail setting up engaging activities, helping with phonics sessions and monitoring the safety of the learning environment. You will need to have good behaviour management skills, work well as part of a team and excellent communication skills as you will be frequently communicating with children, teachers and parents.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience of working with children either within a school setting.
  • Experience working within a professional environment with children or young people.
  • Energetic, fun and passionate approach to working with children.
  • An NVQ Level 3 or equivalent supporting teaching and learning qualification
  • Current DBS or willingness to get one.
