Design & Technology Teacher

- Teaching Design and Technology to KS3/KS4
Hays Education are representing a Leicestershire based secondary school that are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic DT Teacher to join their team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching DT across KS3 and KS4. The candidate should have a strong understanding of the national curriculum and be able to deliver engaging and challenging lessons. As this is a long-term role, you will have full teaching responsibilities, including planning and marking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of all students.
- Assess and monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the curriculum.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress and assessment results.
You will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching DT at KS3 and KS4.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
