We are seeking to appoint a Lead Teacher for Computing who will work alongside the Curriculum Leader to continue to develop this important subject.
We are looking for someone who is an effective leader with ambition, a good teacher and someone who cares about the progress that students make.

We operate a three-year key stage 3 in which all students study computing, taught by specialist teachers.

GCSE computing is also offered across key stage 4 as an optional subject.

We have an excellent professional development programme and support colleagues wishing to access further qualifications and leadership programmes.

Our School:
  • We are a very successful and oversubscribed 11-16 Academy.
  • Our recent Ofsted inspection graded our school as "Good" with key comments being: “Pupils behave sensibly around the school and in lessons. They are respectful to other pupils, staff and visitors.” “Staff value the steps that leaders have taken to ease their workload and support their well-being.”
  • In our annual staff survey, colleagues also commented that senior leaders have taken radical steps to manage the workload and well-being of colleagues by reducing unnecessary burdens and bureaucracy.

As a school and Trust, we celebrate students’ uniqueness and support our young people to flourish and become responsible, successful citizens who contribute positively to their communities. Our Trust invests in each member of staff, offering them professional development opportunities, including designation as Evidence Leads in Education for the Research School; delivery of school-to-school support; CPD facilitation and support for trainee teachers.

Staff have access to opportunities to develop their teaching practice, such as training on metacognition, virtual classroom coaching and retrieval practice. As a Trust, we celebrate diversity by encouraging an understanding of our communities, faiths and cultures.
