Associate Director for Water/ Wastewater Infrastructure

Hays are working in partnership with a global provider of high-end consulting and engineering services, and stands at the forefront of innovation. They are seeking to employ an Associate Director to join their Water, Wastewater Infrastructure team.

Our client have a multidisciplinary team of experts that spans diverse fields, including civil and structural engineering, water engineering, building services engineering, project management, building surveying, town planning, environmental specialists, and asset management. With a presence in over 400 locations worldwide, they combine the resources of a multibillion-worth company with a client-focused approach.

Your new role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Director to become part of a vibrant and growing team. As a senior member, you’ll lead high-profile, varied projects. The main focus would be the delivery of projects, including wastewater and water projects, treatment works, sewer networks, pumping stations and draining schemes.

You will engage in all project stages from inception to completion. You will be responsible to conduct feasibility studies, designing, cost estimates, procurement, site supervision and the like. You are expected to lead the team, contribute in business development, collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. It is important that you ensure company compliance with legislation, regulations, and site procedures.

What you’ll need to succeed:

To be successful for this role, our client requires the candidate to have experience in NEC Contracts, proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microdrainage, and WinDes.

It is important that you are familiar with implementing Eurocodes, Specification for Highway Works, The Civil Engineering Specification For The Water Industry and Sewers For Adoption.

Previous experience in a consultancy engineering company and has worked on Northern Ireland Water Framework Contracts would be ideal.

Excellent communication skills are important for interactions with diverse individuals.
