Your new company
Your new company is a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, with their head office located in the heart of Liverpool city centre. Having consistently grown in numbers of the past 5 years, they now house over 50 staff and are continuing to demonstrate a fantastic ability to win exciting work across the UK.

This work comes from an extensive list of new and repeat clients across the commercial, industrial, education, residential, healthcare, Ministry of Justice, historical and housing sectors, with projects regularly exceeding the £100m project value mark.

Your new role
Your new role will see you joining the existing structural engineering team of 24 as a Senior Structural Engineer. Preparing structural calculations in steel, concrete, masonry and timber will be a daily responsibility, and being skilled in the conceptual and detailed design of buildings in a number of the sectors mentioned above.

You will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of graduate engineers and technicians, checking their designs and drawings and aiding their continued development. Depending on your level of progress, the opportunities to further your career and progress to Principal Engineer are absolutely available and with the regular support of Senior staff your skillset will continue to expand.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you will require a minimum of around 7 relevant years of industry experience in the UK, demonstrating regular contribution to the design of buildings in the aforementioned sectors to current standards. Though not essential, it is highly desirable that you will be a Chartered Member of either the ICE or IStructE, and as a minimum requirement are on the path to gaining these professional qualifications.

Design software experience with AutoCAD and TEDDs is essential with exposure to the likes of Revit and Tekla desirable.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a competitive salary, in line with your market experience in the range of £40,000 - £50,000. On top of this, you will receive two annual bonuses; one in Summer and the other over the Christmas period to reward your dedication throughout the year, totalling into the £1,000's.

Although there is no designated hybrid working protocol in place, the necessary flexibility can be provided for depending on your circumstances and can be discussed in an interview.
