Hays are working in partnership with a leading engineering consultancy based in Lisburn, Northern Ireland to recruit a Civil Engineer to become part of a team working on a variety of major projects throughout the UK.

This consultancy prides themselves on handling different scales of projects and is currently working on a number of major developments throughout the UK. The well-established board of directors takes a hands-on approach with all the projects, providing quality and personal service to their clients.

Your New Role

Due to a busy workbook, our client is now looking to expand the existing team and has a need for a Civil Engineer. The main role is to ensure safe, timely completion of projects.

Here are a few responsibilities of a Civil Engineer:

• Undertaking technical and feasibility studies and site investigations
• Determining construction costs, local and professional building regulations, environmental impacts, and other factors that can affect project implementation.
• Developing designs using engineering computer software such as AUTOCAD, Revit, Civil3D to develop detailed project blueprints.
• Manage, supervise, and visit contractors on site and advise on civil engineering issues.
• Work closely with Senior Engineering Team

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will have had similar experience working in an engineering consultancy with at least 3 yrs post graduate experience. Must be a Degree holder in Civil Engineering, preferably, registered with a professional body. You should be conversant with engineering design software, AutoCAD,REVIT, Civil3D and the like.

You must be a highly motivated individual who can work and communicate effectively within a team setting.
