Charity Regulator | Permanent Post | £31,613 - £36,698/annum | London, Hybrid (1-2 days a month in office)

Your new company

I am working exclusively with a Regulator, and we are looking for a Senior Policy Officer to join the Standards team on a permanent basis. This role works across the organisation on numerous programmes that are integral to the work of the regulator. You will be supporting the two Policy managers to enforce minister policies from Central Government departments. The team within this regulator regularly promotes internally.

Your new role

The successful candidate will be:
  • Manage policy initiatives from start to finish and provide support to the development of the standards to key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively across the organisation to contribute to a programme of cross-org policy initiatives.
  • Conduct desk-based research to support policy development, ensuring evidence-based policy decisions are being made.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including facilitating workshops, focus groups and policy forums.
  • Work closely with colleagues from the devolved nations and NI.

What you'll need to succeed

This position is ideal for someone who has
  • Experience of Policy work, at the Policy Assistant, Officer, Senior Officer, or Advisor level.
  • Able to work collaboratively and independently to achieve multiple priorities.
  • Experience of working with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experienced at preparing high quality policy documents, reports, and briefings.
  • Worked for a Charity, Non-Profit, Regulator or Government Body (highly desirable)
