The role:
Maintain and develop the functionality, understanding, and use of Company IT Solutions in a manner that best promotes the Company's purpose.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Provide second-line support to end users, logging, monitoring, escalating, resolving IT queries, and providing first-line support during busy periods, holidays, and sickness cover.
- Complete daily administration of the IT infrastructure, ensuring data recovery and contingency procedures are valid.
- Be responsible for the administration, maintenance, support, and reliability of the IT environment, including Microsoft Azure, M365, cloud services, infrastructure, physical and virtual servers, and all non-Microsoft applications.
- Ensure the infrastructure is secure and protected from viruses and malicious attacks.
- Assist in the delivery of projects as required, ensuring budget, time, and project goal requirements are met.
- Consult with external suppliers to obtain cost-effective and reliable solutions within budget.
- Ensure the availability of communication links to external or hosted clients/services.
- To be aware of both existing and emerging technological solutions and, where applicable, research, propose and justify their application within the company.
- Co-ordinate and, where appropriate, conduct training relating to the implementation of new IT-related solutions.
Technical:
- Microsoft Office, 365
- Microsoft Windows Desktop 10/11.
- Microsoft Server 2016+
- Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, VMWare administration.
