Your new company

Are you looking for a new school administration role?

Do you have excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as a passion for working with children and their families?

If so, you might be the perfect candidate for our interim school administrator positions in South Birmingham.

Your new role

As a school administrator, you will be responsible for managing all the administrative tasks within the school. You will work closely with the senior leadership team, teachers, support staff, and governors to ensure the smooth running of the school. You will also be the first point of contact for all visitors, phone calls, and enquiries. Other duties may include;


  • Managing the school diary, booking appointments, arranging meetings and sending reminders.
  • Update and maintain records, databases, and files using computer applications such as Microsoft Office and SIMS
  • Be the first port of call for any visitors, pupils, parents and outside agencies.
  • Updating attendance information with pupils either late or absent.
  • Send and receive letters, emails, faxes, and deal with any deliveries.
  • Order and stock supplies, equipment, and stationery
  • Follow the school policies and procedures regarding health and safety, confidentiality, safeguarding, and data protection.
  • Assist with school performances and special events.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in a school or office environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
  • Knowledge of SIMS or other school management systems (desirable but not essential)
  • A friendly, professional, and helpful attitude
  • A high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
