Exciting Company Secretarial role with this leading Financial Services company in Bristol with hybrid working

We’re seeking an experienced Company Secretary to join our forward-thinking Financial Services client in Bristol.

Your new company
A well-known industry leader in the Financial Services sector in Bristol, our client is looking to invest in and develop its corporate governance function. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at a time of growth and transformation. This role will be based in Bristol however there is the opportunity for a mixture of both home and office working, therefore it is anticipated that you will live within commutable distance of Bristol. Your new role
Joining the close-knit legal and governance function of the business, you will play a key role in working with stakeholders from across the business; ranging from directors, to legal and risk teams, as well as external partners. Your workload would include :

  • Board Support: Collaborate with the board of directors, schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and take accurate minutes during sessions.

  • Corporate Records: Maintain and update company records, including articles of incorporation, bylaws, and shareholder information.

  • Communication Hub: Be the central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, handling correspondence, enquiries, and official communications.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and propose strategies to mitigate them.

  • Company Policies: Develop and enforce policies that align with our values and legal requirements.


What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for candidates with at least three years of previous company secretarial and corporate governance experience within professional services or industry; and ideally with experience in the Financial Services and/or Insurance industries.

All interested candidates must have the drive and enthusiasm to pursue a career within company secretarial work and develop a wide range of UK compliance, governance and transaction related knowledge and experience.

You might be a Member of the CGI/ICSA: The Governance Institute, however this is not a pre-requisite and our client is keen to hear from candidates with sufficient qualifying experience.
