An international engineering company is looking for a QC Inspector.

Job Title: QC Inspector

Overall Purpose: The primary responsibility of an inspector is to ensure that repaired products meet customer requirements and adhere to defined specifications. Inspectors play a crucial role in maintaining quality and safety standards, ultimately releasing products back to customers in accordance with company procedures and the quality system.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance: Maintain a strong focus on quality and safety. Promptly inform management of any issues or concerns related to product quality.
Route Card Generation: Create route cards to track the repair process and ensure efficient workflow.
Incoming Material Assessment: Conduct quality assessments on all incoming materials and products.
Outgoing Inspection: Perform thorough inspections on outgoing products before shipping, ensuring they meet quality standards.
Quality Control: Reject any products or materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
Measuring Equipment: Be proficient in using measuring equipment to assess product dimensions accurately.
Product Comparison: Examine and compare the final product against specifications, ensuring alignment.
Technical Understanding: Read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications to understand product and service requirements.
Documentation: Generate detailed inspection reports and maintain performance records as needed.
Customer Repair Schemes: Understand customer-specific repair schemes, if available.
Collaboration with Engineering: Liaise with engineering teams to resolve operational issues and recommend process improvements for quality control.
Documentation Accuracy: Ensure all documentation is completed accurately before signing off or stamping approvals.
Supporting Documentation: Prepare supporting documents (such as Certificates of Conformance or Form 1) for the release of repaired or returned parts.
Non-Conformance Reporting: Understand the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process and assist in investigations and closures.
Production Support: Provide support during the repair process, addressing any issues that arise.
Timely Issue Resolution: Resolve quality-related issues promptly to maintain production efficiency.
New Product Introduction (NPI): Support NPI efforts related to new repairs or processes.
Cross-Training: Be open to cross-training across other departments to ensure flexibility during busy periods.
