Hays are delighted to be partnering with a well-established accountancy practice, located in County Down, Northern Ireland. Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join the practice leadership team as a partner. As a partner, you will play a pivotal role in driving the firm’s growth and success. This is an ideal role for an ambitious, commercially aware chartered accountant leader to become an equity partner of their own firm.

Your new role

Role Summary
As a partner, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of our practice, including client management, financial strategy, and business development. You will collaborate closely with other partners, managers, and staff to ensure exceptional service delivery to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
Provide strategic financial advice and guidance to clients.
Identify opportunities for cross-selling services.
Business Development:
Develop and execute growth strategies for the practice.
Generate new business leads and expand the client base.
Represent the firm at networking events, conferences, and industry gatherings.
Financial Oversight:
Monitor financial performance and profitability.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Collaborate with the finance team to optimise financial processes.
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and inspire a team of professionals.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
Mentor junior staff and support their professional development.
Strategic Planning:
Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the practice.
Identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
Participate in decision-making processes.

What you'll need to succeed

Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or ACCA) with significant post-qualification experience.
Proven track record in a senior leadership role within an accountancy practice.
In-depth knowledge of UK taxation, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
