Skills Required
As a Project Coordinator (PC) in Computacenter’s Projects & Programmes Practice, you will be reporting to a Project Manager(s) and supporting them in the delivery of stand-alone projects or work streams or within a Project Management Office (PMO) aligned to a contractual service customer account.

Working under the direction of a Project Lead, you will have responsibility for several key activities, which could include some, or all of the following: managing project resources, tracking that the agreed products are delivered, monitoring and tracking the project finances, supporting the management of project controls (including risks, issues, customer dependencies and change).

An example of objectives may include:
  • Specific assignment requirements
  • Customer satisfaction objectives
  • Delivering the products to the agreed quality, time, and cost
  • Maximising contribution and delivery activities

Skills and knowledge you require:
  • Project coordinator experience
  • Trained in project management methodology, for example Prince2, Agile Techniques.
  • Demonstrable track-record of delivering effectively in a Project environment.
  • Skilled user of Microsoft applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Ability to escalate issues effectively.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills and attention to detail.

Your overall responsibility is to support your Lead PM in the successful delivery of a project or assignment; your responsibilities will be defined in the project control documentation and your terms of reference. In support of this, you’re expected to have a general understanding of what the business sells and delivers.

Additional tasks will include change management, business management, contract management, and being able to manage project finances responsibly and effectively. You may also have responsibility for a team.

Objectives will be set out and will be discussed regularly for each assignment or project you work on, and any questions you have to be fully supported.
