Payroll Team Leader, Stockport

Your new firm

A Top 10 North West based Accountancy firm is seeking an experienced Payroll Team Leader to join their office in Stockport. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established firm and help to shape, develop and lead the team. This firm provides a range of accounting, tax, audit, advisory and business services to a variety of clients ranging from entrepreneurial start-ups to medium sized companies up to large businesses. Their goal is to provide a personalised service to maximise client benefits.

Your new role

As Payroll Team Leader, you will own and manage your own client portfolio and will support in delivering revenue and profitability targets. You will be required to develop and inspire to contribute to the overall people plan. You will create and develop client relationships and provide an excellent payroll service. As Payroll Team leader, you will support the Payroll Manager and will be responsible for the performance and reviewal of the team. You will oversee the more complex clients within the team, and review payroll payments and account reconciliations and assist with complex payroll calculations.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate for this role will have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of payroll legislation, processing, and auto enrolment regulations s well as previous experience managing or supervising a payroll team and client portfolios, conducting appraisals and training. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, excellent verbal andwritten communication skills and the ability to manually calculate a payrollas well as end to end Payroll experience. Ideally this candidate will have a CIPP Foundation degree qualification.

In return, you will be offered a competitive salary between £33,000 and £37,000 dependent on experience. You will have the option to have hybrid and flexible working options.
