Senior tax Accountant job ACA ACCA ATT CTA AAT Surrey Flexible Remote Progression

Your new company

I am working EXCLUSIVELY with my client on a new role which is available, which offers plenty of flexibility, predominantly remote and has progression. One of the senior members of the team is due to retire within the next 9 months, with the owner looking at his future retirement and exit plan of the business. This role, therefore, offers plenty of scope for progression if you wish. The role is varied, predominantly tax based, with some accounting duties as needed, with scope for advisory work. My client offers a friendly and collaborative culture, offering a high level of service to their clients.

Your new role

  • UK personal tax (with a few non-resident clients) for self-assessment returns and tax & income planning

  • Limited company accounts & corporation tax returns: most of these are not complex corporate structures

  • VAT support at “solid understanding” level, with support from a third party consult for more complex areas.

  • Clients on online accounting platforms such as Sage Cloud, QuickBooks, Xero.

  • Enthusiasm to learn and support clients, which may include preparing management accounts and other periodic reporting

  • Clients use desktop software platforms such as Sage 50 and QuickBooks.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a qualified accountant, ACA/ACCA/AAT/ATT/CTA qualified with experience based on a career in practice. If you have worked in house and want to return to practice, my client would be keen to hear from you also.

What you'll get in return

The salary depends on experience up to £65,000. My client is very flexible, and will consider full-time and part-time applicants (3 days minimum). Office attendance is required for training to begin with (3 days if full-time, 2 days if part-time) and then the role will become fully remote, meeting with the team on an ad hoc basis.
