Your new role
Castle Water are currently searching for a Business Development Manager who can partner with multiple departments to drive measurable results that benefit our business. Our ideal candidate will be able to implement an effective sales approach that expands our reach, and strengthens customer relationships, driving customer retention, whilst winning new business, managing a pipeline of prospects. They will also actively seek out other business opportunities that can boost revenue and continue to set our company apart, additionally, cross-selling to commercial energy customers.
Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you will provide updates on weekly progress, pipeline and sales reports. Additionally, you will contribute as required to the development of sales and marketing strategies whilst building and maintaining effective relationships with relevant Chambers of Commerce and other potential networking groups.
What you’ll need to succeed
We are seeking an individual who is customer focused with excellent communication skills. They should be highly organised and diligent with a positive demeanour and motivated by individual and team achievements.
They will be driven by meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPIs, and comfortable engaging face-to-face creating and developing opportunities.
Competent on Microsoft packages, you will be confident in planning, preparing and delivering sales presentations to potential customers.
Prior business development experience in a B2B environment is essential for this position.
What you will get in return
You will receive a competitive salary of circa £30,000 per annum, with a potential OTE of £50,000 per annum. In addition, you will receive a company car allowance. The role would generally cover the Tayside/East area and would report to the Sales Director (Scotland) based in our Ayr office.
