Your new company

My client are a leading Financial Services brand providing a range of products and services, largely to B2B clients. A dynamic and fast-changing market, they need a Communications Manager capable of sharpening their profile amongst their target audience, key stakeholders and the industry. This is a rolling contract, initially until the end of 2024 with a view to extend. The requirement will be to work hybrid, with on-site days at their offices in Hampshire.


Your new role

As External Communications and PR Manager, you will lead the ongoing development and implementation of the company’s external communication strategy as well as marketing activities. You will be responsible for PR, planning and delivering year-round proactive PR activity to position the brand as a thought-leader and maintain visibility within target audiences, as well as reacting and managing crisis communications, External Communications, Marketing planning, representing the Marketing function at Working groups, strategic communications projects, and supporting key senior stakeholders with communications efforts such as Award entries, media training, spokesperson coaching and events.


What you'll need to succeed

You'll be an experienced Communications Manager with a proven ability with PR & crisis communications, external communications campaigns, and holistic marketing/communications messaging. You will have strong communication skills to manage external suppliers as well as communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, and you must have excellent copywriting skills. You will be able to demonstrate strategic and tactical thinking, as well as influencing skills. Any experience in Financial Services is desired, but not essential.


What you'll get in return

You will receive a daily rate equivalent to a £50,000 - £55,000 salary (negotiable for the right applicant) for a contract until the end of the year, but desired to roll on longer term. You will get 25 days' holiday + bank holidays, and the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis with a balance of home working and in-office days at their offices in Farnborough.
