Your new role

We are looking for a Clinical Services Manager to oversee our clients' Pre-assessment, Outpatients and Wards departments. You will be responsible for the day-to-day organisation and management of clinical services, providing clear direction and leadership to all clinical staff, whilst supporting the initiatives of the hospital. You will also ensure the achievement of CQC Standards and the delivery of high-quality patient care.

As a Clinical Services Manager, you will:

  • Strategically plan the clinical services under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services
  • Deploy, supervise and teach staff within the clinical area, supporting the hospital management team in providing clinical leadership
  • Develop, motivate and performance manage all clinical staff
  • Maintain a professional, cost-effective department service, including financial management and business planning
  • Work clinically as required, with a minimum of one clinical shift per week

What you'll need to succeed

  • Evidence of relevant professional development, both clinically and managerially, preferably evidenced by certification RN with valid NMC Registration
  • Registered Nurse Level 1 / Diploma / BSc in Nursing Studies
  • Robust understanding of Clinical Governance requirements for the area
  • Up-to-date knowledge in area of practice
  • Awareness of NMC Code of Accountability
  • Ideally you will have surgical experience
  • Recruitment and selection skills
