Hays is currently working with a well established building services consultancy who specialise in a variety of M&E, energy and sustainability solutions for both the public and the private sector. Your new role

• Design, specifications, and construction stage project management of electrical projects (all aspects of Mechanical Services). This will include all RIBA stages.

• Run and lead their own projects. There will be multiple projects at any one time.

• Ensuring all projects are designed and implemented to meet British Standards and other appropriate legislation.

• Mechanical Services Feasibility Study and Energy Efficiency Reports, air source heat pumps, plant room refurbishments, heating and domestic hot water projects.

• Good knowledge of mechanical design calculations for HVAC installations.

• Attend project meetings.

• Attend regular Design Department meetings where workload schedules will be planned.

• Develop good relationships with each team member.

• Assist with implementing QA procedures for all projects.

What you'll need to succeed

• Ideally at least 10 years Design experience having worked up the Engineer levels to Senior Engineer.

• Experience in Mechanical engineering, engineering consultancy and/or mechanical installations

• Experience in design calculation software packages: Design Builder, Heavcomp, TAS etc

• Good working knowledge of industry regulations, mechanical design and installations

• Good working knowledge of utility services both new connections and disconnections

• Able manage/prioritise workload to meet deadlines whilst maintaining good communication with client and design teams
