Your new role

The Material Planning Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless integration between production planning and material supply chains. You will be responsible for synchronising the weekly production plan with incoming material supplies while anticipating customer demand and supplier deliveries. Ultimately, your role will be to ensure that the business has sufficient materials to satisfy customer orders, and will involve a mixture of analysing supply chain data and hands-on inventory checks in the warehouse to ensure that data is reconciled. You will identify what materials are in stock currently and what items need re-ordering to avoid any stock-outs or overstocks.

This role requires meticulous coordination with suppliers, efficient management of purchase orders, and a keen focus on ensuring on-time delivery of materials. The Materials Planning Coordinator is also tasked with maintaining accurate records, meeting payment and ordering terms, managing purchase orders, and driving stability across manufacturing outputs to meet customer expectations.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in a material / supply chain planning role, such as material planner, materials scheduler, inventory planner, supply planner and so on

  • Ideally, you will have experience of using ERP systems

  • Problem-solving skills

  • Strong analytical and forecasting skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Good attention to detail
