Job Description: Systems Administrator (Higher Education Client)

Location: Oxfordshire (On-site in central Oxford 3 days per week)

Contract Duration: 3–6 months

Rate: Up to £400 per day (Inside IR35 - Umbrella Company)

Our esteemed higher education client in Oxfordshire is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join their team. As a Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and Optimising the organization’s IT infrastructure. If you have experience with Both Linux and Windows administration, along with Proficiency in Ansible , we encourage You to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • System Maintenance and Troubleshooting : Ensure the smooth operation of servers, networks, and applications. Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly.

  • Security and Compliance : Implement security measures, monitor access controls, and adhere to compliance standards.

  • Infrastructure Management : Manage servers, storage, and virtualisation technologies.

  • User Support : Provide technical support to end-users, addressing queries and resolving issues.

  • Automation : Utilise Ansible for configuration management and automation tasks.

  • Collaboration : Work closely with Cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Linux and Windows Administration : Proficiency in managing both Linux and Windows environments.

  • Ansible : Experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management.

  • Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

  • Communication : Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and end-users.

  • Adaptability : Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
