Hays are delighted to be recruiting for a junior-level, transaction lawyer looking to develop their career within a leading investments and professional services firm.

Your new role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a global business of investment professionals and work closely with legal, tax, compliance, and investment teams on a diverse range of private market transactions and marketing content reviews.
You will:
• Work closely with the organisation’s external legal counsel in relation to the above, where appropriate, to include managing timely delivery of projects and advice within an agreed scope and budget
• Assist with legal questions arising from investments in private equity funds, including tax and regulatory issues
• Supporting the wider Legal and Compliance team with internal projects and processes

What you'll need to succeed

To be a successful candidate for this role, you will be a qualified solicitor or barrister (ideally 2-4 yrs PQE) with experience gained in a law firm or legal department of an asset or fund manager, in particular in the private markets industry.
You will also have:
• Knowledge of closed-ended funds and how they operate.
• Excellent organisational, drafting and negotiation skills.
• Strong commercial acumen with an ability to deliver clear and pragmatic solutions.
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple deadlines and tasks.
