Our client is seeking a Software Asset Specialist to join their team and work in the IT Asset Management department.

You will be working for an industry-leading professional services company to establish effective business practices for managing IT assets and software licences within the organisation. This involves integrating inventory, contracts, finances, and risk management to oversee the entire asset lifecycle, including both tactical and strategic decision-making.

The Technology Services department delivers top-tier global support and services, including IT service management and infrastructure operations for the firm.

You will be involved in:

• Enhancing SAM strategy and governance to minimise risk and maximise efficiency.
• Liaising with third-party software suppliers, handling complex license discussions.
• Advising on software licensing to optimise investments and guide new purchases and managing software vendor audits.
• Conducting internal software audits, generating Effective License Positions (ELPs) for renewals and negotiations.
• Understanding complex license models across Enterprise vendors and assessing their impact on the firm’s strategy.
• Collaborating with Procurement and Legal teams to improve contractual positions and interpreting vendor license models.
• Collecting and maintaining inventory data from various sources to manage assets.
• Analysing software usage data and communicating findings to stakeholders.

You will need:

• 3+ years of experience in software asset management or software licensing role
• Demonstrated expertise in analysing data from diverse sources and interpreting intricate licensing models.
• Experience working with one of the following: SAP, Oracle, Microsoft etc.
